What's your favourite/least favourite book of Redwall and why?

I haven't read them all yet, but so far I'm leaning towards 'Mattimeo' as my favourite, because it plays nicely on the whole generation gap between parent and child, as both cope with a common enemy. Also, of course, because Vitch and Cheek are hilarious, and Slagar is a great villain. I could not really decide on my least favourite, because all those I have read I enjoyed. I guess it would be the one I have just started, i can't remember the name of it right now ... it is the one with the white/silver fox siblings. I haven't got very far into it, which is the only reason I can't say it's as good as the others I've read. I will have to see how it progresses I suppose.

Martin the Warrior is both my favorite and least favorite. It is hard to explain. It gave me a feeling of completness for the entire series but the book also made me depressed for the following week. I was literatly on the verge of crying in some parts of the book. I practically can't read any of the other books that mention Martin's name because of the feel I get: sheer loneliness. Goodness it was a sad book! All I can say is, "poor dear Martin..."

My faves are definitely Marlfox and Pearls of Lutra. There aren't any I don't like. Marlfox is one because I really liked that there was a strong female character who retained her element of feminity, and Pearls of Lutra because of the wonderful riddles.
