Originally a decent creature, even though she is a predator by nature, Lyria was outcast because of her mental gifts. She wandered the land bitterly for many years until she fell in with a horde of vermin. They found her strong and cunning, and so brought her to their camp where she stays to this day, still holding a grudge against the creatures who rejected her.

~On a remote mountainous island a vermin lord, Grellel Lo, ruled by terror and threat. The vermin family was in complete and utter domination. Many sea faring ships waylaid for supplies and even slaves. The pirate ships fueled the islands economy. Without ships to trade and sell to the island would probably decease. Grellel Lo always made sure to treat the captains like brothers, even though it is told he stabbed several in the back. ~He and his family had everything they could ever want or need. Everything must be served to perfection or sever punishments where handed out. The wife of Grellel Lo, Winelshe had several handmaids whom she trusted unlike everyone else. It is said that the Lord had an affair with one of these gentle beasts and it is possible that Linwe is the result. The wife, furious but silent with contempt, exiled the maiden mother on account she had been stealing from her (which also might have been true. Hehe). She was sold as a slave on a stopping pirate ship. ~The daughter was left to be servant of the household. At such a young age she would often be given kitchen duties, which including scrubbing and scraping pots and pans all day. (Have you ever done that before? It can really burn your hands for a few days.) The weasel maid learned the ways of the street urchin. She had slight of hand and was able to steal. Linwe was also taught how to lie and fake anything. Her favorite ability was being able to sneak. It was always a game, a frightening one at that. ~Linwe was still welcomed to work at the court of Grellel Lo and the family. The weasel maid tried to decline as much as possible. She knew that if she did become close to the royal family she too might end up like her mother. She also knew that she was only a few years older than the noble children. They had tried to taunt and tease Linwe at every chance they got. They were first hand taught how to by their mother who still had feelings of jealousy. Angered by the many declines Grennel Lo still tried to coax Linwe to castle life. The weasel maid had, unfortunately, grown to look like her mother (darn heredity!). ~Linwe knew that she would only repeat the cycle if she stayed. So she joined a next pirate ship that sailed to the island. She had to go under as a different beast with even a different species to back her up. Linwe knew that it was possible that the captain and Grennel Lo might have business together and a new weasel joining might come up in talk. She put all her sneaking, lying, and thief skills to go aboard unnoticed. ~Her plans went as well as Linwe had hoped. She escaped the crew of murderous sea beasts and went inland. As soon as she found a small clan of living things Linwe stayed. This was the same clan that Lynn belonged to…. (da da dum!)

The ice of the North she calls home shines in Swiftpaw's eyes. The ice also froze her heart, and there is nothing and no one she will not slay. A wanderer by nature, she prefers to be solitary and in control; the rank of captain is just what she needs. She is exactly the opposite of Martin the Warrior, save for one thing - strength. In strength, she is almost his equal. Her twin throwing knives have hurtled into the throats of more than one innocent beast.
